FourTen is growing and just moved into our new Miami Beach office. Our new headquartes address is now 407 Lincoln Road, 11th Floor, Miami Beach, FL 33139.
FourTen is pleased to announce our year end, holiday promotion. For the first 15 days of December, new customers get 10% off any purchase, up to $200 off. No rules or fine print, and this applies to all products and services. Simply mention this promotion when ordering, and it's yours.
Last week we posted that FourTen was rated the #1 provider on Elance, a popular site to find IT consultants, for Cisco consulting services. This week we're extremely proud to note that FourTen is now the #1 iPhone app developer on Elance in all of North America, out of 419 providers on the continent.
FourTen was recently rated #1 on Elance, the largest IT services bidding site, for providers of networking services on Cisco products. The ranking was out of 411 providers (as of today), which ironically means that FourTen was ranked better than the other 410 providers. :)
Every Web application needs hosting, and one of the most common questions we get from our customers is, "Where should I host my app?" We're pleased to announce that beginning December 15th, 2009, FourTen will be offering managed Web hosting on brand new, state-of-the-art equipment, with 24 hour rapid support.
Our managed hosting is "fully" managed every step of the way, meaning we take care of everything, including monitoring, maintenance, and backup, and of course hosting with us makes it even easier to have us write updates to your applications.
Our network is being designed right now, and we're working on high-availability, high-security, and high-performance every step of the way. All systems are clustered and optimized for rapid failover (usually in the 1 to 5 second range) in the event of server failure. All network connections are also redundant and optimized for rapid failover in the event of ISP failue.
All the final details on our offering will be posted on the release date, right here on fourtentech.com.
We're excited to announce that FourTen will be offering 2 free Web applications, FourTen CMS and FourTen Forum, in November 2009 and December 2009, respectively.
FourTen CMS is designed to be the easiest possible Content Management System ever made. The whole point behind a CMS system is to make things easier, and often our customers that have requested integrations of the larger CMS systems don't end up using them because they're almost as difficult to learn as writing code by hand! The CMS will offer rich text editing, image upload, file management, and automatic toolbar generation -- everything a smal Web site needs to get going.
FourTen Forum was designed in the same vein as the CMS: current forum software is often quite complicated, and we can still make a feature-rich, customizable forum without requiring our customers to learn how to make templates or skins, or navigate through a control panel that requires a 100-page help file. Copy the code into your Web site, set the look and feel and forum names, and you're done.
Both products are great for small sites and a great starting point for larger sites. We're happy to write customizations for each, and we're able to offer development cost savings to customers looking for a CMS and/or forum by having a base set of code to start with.
We're currently running a closed beta for the ASP.NET version of these applications. We're in development for a PHP version, so that no matter what Web server platform you use, our software will work for you.
We're starting the second half of 2009 with a new addition to our Web site: a blog. While it seems cliché to have a blog now that Web 2.0 has dictated everyone and their mother must have a blog, we think it will be a useful way for us to update our clients as to what's going on with the company as well as share some of the cool technology insight that we get on a daily basis.
